o   Press tonnage accuracy

o   Parallelism and slide movement

o   Diagnose issues related to:

o   Ensure proper functioning of:

o   Directional, pressure, and flow control valves

o   Hydraulic cylinders and seals

o   Interpret and update hydraulic circuit diagrams

o   Monitor oil contamination and ensure proper filtration & cleanliness standards

 

Hydraulic Testing Stations (EOL / Inline Test Rigs)

o   Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic testing benches used for:

o   Leak testing

o   Functional validation of components

o   Ensure accuracy of:

o   Pressure transducers, flow meters, load cells

o   Diagnose issues in:

o   Closed-loop hydraulic circuits

Hydro-Pneumatic Systems

o   Maintain and troubleshoot hydro-pneumatic presses and circuits

o   Handle systems involving:

o   Air-oil intensifiers

o   Diagnose issues like:

o   Inconsistent force output

Servo Press Systems

o   Maintain servo-driven presses (electro-mechanical / servo-hydraulic)

o   Troubleshoot:

o   Servo motors, drives, and feedback systems (encoders)

o   Monitor and optimize:

o   Force vs displacement profiles

o   Motion control accuracy

o   Coordinate with electrical/automation team for:

o   PLC, HMI, and motion control issues

 

Advanced Hydraulic System Management

o   Interpret and modify complex hydraulic circuit diagrams

o   Maintain systems with:

o   Proportional & servo valves

o   Accumulators (charging, safety checks)

o   Ensure:

o   Oil cleanliness (ISO standards)

o   Filtration system effectiveness

o   Perform condition monitoring (temperature, vibration, pressure trends)

 

Continuous Improvement

o   Reduce:

o   Press breakdowns

o   Hydraulic failures and leakages

o   Implement:

o   Energy-saving initiatives (pump optimization, idle reduction)

o   Drive TPM and predictive maintenance for press lines

 

 Spare & Vendor Management

o   Identify critical spares:

o   Pumps, valve kits, seal kits, sensors

o   Coordinate with OEMs for:

o   Servo press systems

o   Hydraulic test rigs

o   Evaluate alternative vendors for cost optimization

 

 Documentation & Compliance

o   Maintain:

o   Hydraulic schematics and revisions

o   Calibration records for testing stations

o   Ensure compliance with:

o   Safety standards (pressure systems, accumulators)

o   LOTO procedures

 

Team & Skill Development

o   Train technicians on:

o   Hydraulic troubleshooting
